Grammar things

"I think you're just scared," he says, after which I simply have to correct him. I have to.

 Even though I 100 percent know he is right. 

"I'm the scared one? You were totally the one with the scaring."

"That is not an accurate grammar... thing."

"Neither is that - you just said grammar thing!"

"My point still stands."

"What point still stands? The one about grammar things?"

"The one about you being scared. Of feelings," he says, as though that was just the most obvious thing in the world.
