Gender Trouble

Mitt bästa tips till dig som är intresserad av vad Judith Butler säger om performativt genus är att inte läsa Judith Butler.

Läs till exempel Judith Butler Explained with Cats

I am proud of you! My copy, however, is buried behind all those books that I REALLY HAVE to read for my dissertation. Sadly. But I think next time I am going to supervise gender student my guilty conscious and everlasting feeling that I know nothing... (Game of Thrones everywhere "horrified face" though I am not that bad, I had to think is it "thron" or "thrones")... will overcome me and I will finally finish it.
Though my respect is with her.
PS ok, this time to prove that I am not a robot I had to select pictures with boats that I was shown. Did you have a robot attack recently here or what?

After all, there's not that much about performativity of gender in the book. But yeah, we'll talk about it at some point. What can I say - the deadline was very efficient ;)

PS. Oh wow that sounds like fun! ;D But I should remove it, at least for a while, to see if there'll be a lot of spam.

There is a lot that followed this book, from developing the subject to criticizing it.There is a very well established term "performative turn" in critical cutlural studies, which makes it applicable to pretty much everything. I must admit I am often lost in those discussions but after I rejected to look at my work from that perspective (just maybe a tiny bit because hell yeah performativity is everywhere) I fell a bit better. If you are interested in something more on the subject, let me know ;)

And I don't think you should remove the robot, we don't need spam, I can handle it! I'll let you know if they questions will become too complicated ;)

Yeah I probably have a lot of robot readers ;)

We should definitely discuss it next time we meet, I don't care if you've read it by then or not, I don't think that's necessary anyway ;)

Hehe, har också hört att man int ska läsa henne, men aldrig tänkt på att även hon blir bättre med katter (borde kanske förstått det eftersom cirka allt blir bättre med katter...).

Japp, jag kan bekräfta ;)
